Two Firsts, One Gold Medal, and a Nomination Award for the Best New Composite Part in IGEM

On September 24 to 29, 2015, the team of students from the School of Life Sciences at Tianjin University (TJU) competed in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition. They successfully received the awards of two Firsts of singles, a Gold Medal, and a Nomination.  

It was the first time that the School of Life Sciences had supervised a team representing Tianjin University at the IGEM competition. 

The team included students Wang Haofeng, Han Bowen, Liu Jiashu, Li Yuchen, Zhao Qing, Wang Yang, Hu Jinxin, and Zong Junjiefrom the School of Life Sciences, students Bao Dongqi, Chi Heng, Chen Zexiang, Han Xuan, Dong Xuemei, Li Shubin, and Zhang Yuwei from the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, and students Shao Ketong, Yu Junjie, Wang Hua, Yin Xiangyu, Peng Yige, and Wang Chenmao from Qiushi College.
